ARTIST STATEMENT
Yo soy mojada-seca.
Don't you forget.
I am raised
north of the Rio Bravo
and
south of the Rio Bravo.
My mother gifted me the knowledge of community
self-determination, aesthetic formalities, object making,
storytelling, and experiences in creative informal economies.
It is my parent's fault, I am the way I am.
My ancestors' imagination paint the colors
in the sky
and on the ground.

I concentrate on the isms
and the mechanics of aesthetics within Indigenous diasporas
and retribalization epistemology,
propaganda, and the importance of encoding
meaning and metaphor in objects.
My practice transverses knowledge-based systems,
public space,
street art, technology,
graffiti.
It lives as photographs, videos, sound projects,
and sculptures.
